The Ultimate Pre-Wedding Skin Routine
Your wedding is likely going to be the most important day of your life and will undoubtedly be remembered by you and all who attended forever. With this in mind, it is of paramount significance that everything run as smoothly as possible, not only to make things easier on the day but so that you go away with nothing but positive memories. The last thing you want is for your big day to be forever tainted as one of the most stressful experiences of your life. So, with all this pressure to make sure your day is perfect, the last thing you need is to feel uncomfortable in your own skin. With this fantastic pre-wedding skin routine, you can watch that care evaporate, leaving your mind free to focus on the things that really matter.
Diet
Ever heard of the expression ‘you are what you eat’? Well there is certainly some truth in that saying. Eating fatty and oily foods wreaks havoc on your skin and can cause it to look dull, greasy and spotty. Green vegetables, anti-oxidants, omega 3 rich fish and avocados are all excellent for your skin. Top this off by drinking around 2 litres of water per day and you will start to notice a difference in no time.
Clean
The worst thing you can do for your skin is to go to sleep without cleaning it. Showering and exfoliating is the best way of unclogging your pores and making sure your skin can breathe while you sleep but in the run up to your wedding you might not always have time to do this. If you really need to cheat then use a facial wipe to remove as much dirt and make up from your face as possible. The rest of your body can wait until morning.
Moisturise
If you want baby smooth skin that tans easily and radiates a healthy glow then you need to make sure your skin is retaining its moisture. We’ve talked about drinking water but sometimes this isn’t always enough, especially if you’re on the go. Carry around a moisturiser with you and top up as often as possible. There really is no such thing as overdosing when it comes to how much you should apply so be generous to yourself!
Exfoliate
Exfoliating is one of the simplest ways of achieving radiant skin and yet is often neglected by people who just don’t have enough time. Spend a few minutes in your shower with an exfoliating mitt and your skin will thank you for it later. By removing the dead skin on your body, you make way for fresh new skin to shine through, which in turn will make you glow.
