The Beginning

We worked together for a couple of months but hadn't really talked to each other. But, one day in the hallway, Igor started to talk to me. And thats how our story started. He always had a perfect thing to say, to make me smile.

The Proposal

We had been dating already for ages and living together for centuries but hadn't really discussed getting married. It was summer time, we had just got back from a weekend at the sea side and Igor was a little bit ill, nothing serious but a light fever. I made him home made soup and there it was, the most beautiful ring I ever saw. If I knew it was that easy, I would have started cooking before :-)

The Destination

We married in Vis, the most beautiful Dalmatian island.  It was the end of spring / begging of summer. Igor always said he would marry in spring, so this was the last spring Saturday this year.  We went to Fort George, saw the location and said "This is the place". We simply knew from the first glance. There were no second thoughts.

The Celebration

We didn't want a conventional wedding. Maybe this is why we made 70 friends pass approximately 500 km and a 2.5 hour ferry ride just to have a celebration in Vis. The celebration was a party for our closest friends and family, with nice food, great music and a lot of wind, just to spice the atmosphere a little. The people we love were there to celebrate with us. What more can a girl ask for?

The Destination Wedding Experience

There was no other option but Vis. But, yes, it was a difficult task. We had help from an amazing lady (Marina, if you ever read this, you are the best) from Fort George.  By all means we would recommend having a destination wedding.
