Trimstone Manor is a beautiful Country House Hotel in North Devon set within 44 acres of landscaped gardens and rolling countryside.   We are  located within minutes of secluded coves and many fine sandy beaches such as Woolacombe, Croyde, Putsborough and Saunton whilst having the convenience of being just 300 yards from the A361.  Close by is Exmoor, the North Devon Coastal Path and the Tarka Cycle Trail.

The property, with origins in the Domesday book and parts dating back 400 years, was tastefully converted to a hotel in 1976, whilst still retaining many of the original features including a static water wheel and mill house.    We are in a beautiful setting in North Devon; so rural yet so accessible. The tranquil setting makes us ideal for a relaxing break or as the Family holiday base.

We provide the perfect venue for parties, functions and weddings. We are licensed to host marriage ceremonies and our grounds are licensed for entertainment if you want to erect a marquee or two!   In addition to our Lounge Bar and Tyme Restaurant, the Hotel boasts wonderful facilities including en-suite bedrooms and suites, self-catering cottages and gardens where you can relax with a glass of wine. This, coupled with an indoor heated swimming pool, sauna, fitness room and games room for residents means that we have everything you need to relax and enjoy your stay. 

Both our Hotel and Self-Catering Cottages are VisitBritain 3* accredited! En-suite bedrooms. The Hotel incorporates thirteen en-suite bedrooms and three family suites, most of which have views of stunning North Devon countryside.

Hotel guests have full use of the Hotel’s leisure facilities and standard prices are on a Bed & Breakfast basis. Hotel guests enjoy special rates for evening meals if they book before arrival. Self-Catering Accommodation Next to the Hotel are several self-catering cottages which were converted from barns and the Old Mill. Each cottage is fully furnished to a good standard and offers a variety of sleeping arrangements to suit most needs (each cottage sleeping up to nine people). Pets are welcome by prior arrangement. Guests staying in the cottages are most welcome to use the Hotel Bar and Tyme Restaurant and enjoy special rates for breakfast and evening meals.

Our menu takes inspiration from the amazing scenery and surroundings of North Devon. We have a fantastic range of local food producers and suppliers on our doorstep, all of which are incorporated into our own take of the best quality of modern cuisine. We serve good food that is fresh, seasonal and local and are open to non-residents for evening meals,  Sunday and week-day lunches, coffee and cream tea.
